Yokohama Rubber develops tech to estimate tire wear using a sensor
Tire maker jointly developing sensor with Alps Alpine Co, a Tokyo-based electronic components manufacturer
Japanese tiremaker Yokohama Rubber has announced that it has developed a technology to detect the wear level of passenger car tires by analyzing the sensing waveform obtained from a sensor that can be pasted on the inner surface of a tire using its own signal processing technology, according to a press release dated 21 April.
