The UK Alliance for the Freedom of Car Repair (AFCAR), a coalition comprising automotive trade associations and commercial organizations, formed in 2021 to lobby the UK government on upholding the rights of the independent aftermarket and consumers in the post-Brexit era has pushed for aftermarket inclusion in the ongoing vehicle tampering debate, according to a released dated 8 April by the UK aftermarket industry body, Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF).
