India proposes mandatory side and curtain airbags in all cars
Move to increase vehicle costs in price-sensitive automobile market
India on Saturday, 15 January proposed mandating at least six airbags in all M1 category vehicles (passenger vehicles that comprise not more than eight seats inclusive of the driver) that are manufactured from 1 October, according to a Nikkei news report dated 16 January.
