Battery recycling startup Redwood Materials has announced a partnership with BMW of North America to recycle lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries from electrified vehicles across the BMW Group, which encompasses brands such as BMW, MINI, Rolls Royce and BMW Motorrad, according to a press release dated Sept. 19.
