Indian government urges automobile companies to join Right to Repair portal

The country’s Department of Consumer Affairs meets automobile associations and partner companies to on board them on the Right to Repair Portal India.

The Indian government has intensified its efforts to improve participation on its Right to Repair portal that was launched in 2023. On July 6, Nidhi Khare, secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs (DoCA) convened a meeting with automobile associations and companies in the automobile sector to on board them onto what they term the Right to Repair Portal India.
