The partnership aims to fulfill 65% of GKN's European electricity needs, contributing to its net-zero emissions goal by 2045

UK-based drive-systems supplier, GKN Automotive, announced that it has embarked on an endeavor to diminish its carbon footprint by entering into a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA) with Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, according to a press release dated July 10.
