North America’s Akebono Brake Corp., part of Japanese brake and friction material firm Akebono Brake Industry Co. Ltd., has announced that it has expanded its ProACT and severe duty ultra-premium disc brake pad line with nine new part numbers, according to a press release dated May 31. The company said premium stainless steel abutment hardware is included in the kits that require it.

The company offers a complete listing of its applications for these parts and the rest of its product offering in its web catalog. This release of ProACT and severe duty adds coverage for Chevrolet models such as the Express, Tahoe, Dodge Charger Pursuit, Ford F150, Ford Bronco Raptor, Ford Expedition, GMC Savana, GMC Yukon, Lincoln Navigator, Ram 2500 and Ram 3500.

“Akebono is excited to announce the release of these 9 new ProACT and severe duty part numbers expanding coverage for over 4 million VIO adding late-model coverage for Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Lincoln and Ram. These new part numbers highlight our dedication to providing more coverage that will enhance vehicle performance and durability for the automotive sector. All of these parts are in-stock and ready for shipment” said Kirby Pruitt, product development manager at Akebono Brake.
