The government is expected to bring in consumer protection legislation during the 2023–24 session that places liability of autonomous vehicle collisions on OEMs

According to a briefing from the UK Prime Minister’s Office, the government is bringing forward a bill that is aimed at protecting consumer rights by according liability of collisions involving autonomous vehicles to original equipment manufacturers, a press release dated Nov. 10 said.
