Ford Motor and Redwood Materials partner to build closed-loop battery recycling
Redwood’s recycling technology can recover over 95% of the elements like nickel, cobalt, lithium and copper and reuse them to produce anode copper foil and cathode active materials for future battery production.
Ford is partnering with battery-recycling and remanufacturing start-up Redwood Materials to recover raw materials from Ford’s battery packs and reuse them in future battery production, the companies said in a press release on 22 September.
