Also plans to levy green tax on older vehicles

The Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH) has approved a new Vehicle Scrappage Policy, The Financial Express reported on 26 January. The policy will allow the central and state governments to scrap their vehicles that are more than 15 years old. It will take effect 1 April 2022, after getting approval from respective state governments in India.
