Viroop is a senior research analyst in the aftermarket division within the automotive business unit at S&P Global.

He comes with over a decade of experience in vehicle development, service operations management, business strategy, and market research across ME, Africa, Asia and NA regions.

Through the years, he has worked for start-ups, SMEs, global automotive OEMs and research firms. As lead systems and test engineer at Mobius Motors, Kenya, he was integral in building Africa’s first indigenous mass-market vehicle. During his tenure in the Middle East, he successfully turned around one of Qatar’s biggest independent multi-brand workshops, Oasis Service Centre, into a profitable business which was eventually acquired by an OEM in the region. At Frost and Sullivan, in addition to leading automotive business strategy research, he established a new automotive domain built a comprehensive sales database, and successfully convert new business opportunities on a global scale.

Through his long-time hobby of restoring vintage and classic cars, he’s also continuously building on practical experience and has, in parallel, developed an extensive network of contacts in the aftermarket industry including parts suppliers and technicians.
