BMW partners with local recycler to reuse secondary battery materials in China

The automaker reduced emissions by 70% by reusing raw materials recovered from test system and production reject batteries

German automaker BMW announced via press release on 25 May that its Chinese joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) had for the first time established a closed loop for the application of nickel, lithium, and cobalt, recovered from unsuitable batteries, in new electric vehicles.
