Sweden’s Meko says rising electricity costs deterring EV purchase

The company says three out of ten respondents to its survey who said no to electric cars did so solely because of the more expensive electricity prices

Meko (previously Mekonomen Group), an automotive spare-parts distributor based in Sweden, announced that its Mobility Barometer 2023 survey has revealed that rising electricity prices have slowed down the desire for electric cars, according to a press release dated May 29.
