Companies say next-generation RFID will make it possible to digitally read tire data remotely and connect data to the system, leading to shorter work times and improved safety.

Japan’s Bridgestone Corporation and Toppan Forms are working toward the early commercialization of next-generation RFID tags for tires, and joint development of mounting technology will start in October 2022, according to a company release dated 28 October.
