In a release dated 26 September, Continental Aftermarket US, a supplier of OE-engineered aftermarket replacement parts and advanced diagnostics, announced that it has expanded its direct-fit replacement Door Systems Program with new part numbers and increased application coverage. Claimed to be designed to provide OE fit, form, and function, this includes power window motor/regulator assemblies, power window regulator assemblies, and door lock actuators.
Continental said its power window lifts are quality-built in ISO-certified facilities to the same specifications and quality standards as the OE components it supplies to automakers worldwide. The power window assemblies feature long-life motors, gears, and robust housings to ensure an extended service life. Application coverage includes a wide range of imports and domestic cars, vans, sport utility vehicles (SUVs), and light trucks from 1985–22, plus cable-operated regulators for popular late model imports and SUVs, according to the release.
Significance: “These Door Systems components have been engineered to restore original equipment function and are ready-to-install right out of the box. Our comprehensive program now includes more than 1,800 part numbers that deliver coverage for over 28 million VIO,” said Christina Bergstrom, Continental Product Manager.
Continental also offers Door Lock Actuators for a variety of applications including vehicle doors, trunk lids, fuel doors, and lift gates. The line incorporates 149 part numbers that cover over 7 million VIO including domestic, Asian, and European cars, light trucks, and SUVs from 1985 to 2022. The company said every Continental Door Lock Actuator features permanently lubricated gears for efficient operation and durable construction for longer service life.
