Company invests USD28 million in new, larger facility

Sunroof systems supplier Webasto has opened its new plant in Irapuato, Mexico, to manufacture sunroofs and panoramic roofs, according to a company press release on 20 August. The company has invested USD28 million to build a new, considerably larger location, which is approximately three times larger than the previous one, the company said. The headcount is expected to rise from around 460 to 580 within the next few months.
