ZF Aftermarket advises caution with alternative dual-mass flywheel
Company says simplified spare parts without vibration damping can cause damage to other driveline components
ZF Aftermarket, the aftermarket arm of German automotive supplier ZF Friedrichshafen, has urged garages to explain to customers that installing a simpler, cheaper replacement part for dual mass flywheel (DMF) such as a single-mass flywheel on everyday use passenger cars risks damaging the transmission, according to a press release dated 23 June.
