Alliance Automotive Group Benelux acquires Wico Autolak & Coatings and AJ Coatings

Alliance Automotive Group Benelux (AAGB), a European automotive aftermarket distributor, has announced the acquisition of Wico Autolak & Wico Coatings and AJ Coatings, to take effect June 17, according to a press release dated June 18.

Both companies, renowned for their expertise in paint and non-paint products, will continue their operations under the existing management teams. This move is aimed at enhancing AAGB's national coverage in the paint and non-paint division and solidifying the position of its damage repair division, Prepaire, the release added. 

AJ Coatings is key provider of car, industrial and furniture paints in central Netherlands. The family-owned business, led by Bert Jansen and his sons, says that it emphasizes customer service and flexibility. The acquisition by AAGB is seen as a way to better adapt to the fast-changing market and provide added value to customers.

Wico, with a 50-year history, says it has established itself as a trusted player in the professional car damage repair and paint processing industry in central and southern Netherlands. The company offers a wide range of products and innovative services, including a training center for customers. Michel Roelofs, owner of Wico, views the partnership with AAGB as an opportunity to better achieve added value for customers and provide certainty for the company and its employees amidst the turbulent market.

The strategic acquisitions of AJ Coatings and Wico by AAGB aim to enhance the company's offerings to professional damage companies and industrial firms, supporting AAGB's objective of delivering a comprehensive solution for the claims industry.
